What are the hours of operations?
Sowing Seed School hours of operations are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Basic Full Time Care (Infants/Toddlers/Pre-k) 10 consecutive hours a day with floating flexibility
( for example 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, etc.)
Extended Care (Infants/ Toddlers/Pre-k ) - time exceeding the Basic Full Time Care of 10 hours
Will part-time services be available?
Yes, children can attend school on a part time basis for 6 consecutive hours a day, 5 days per week
Is Sowing Seed School a franchise? Are there other Sowing Seed Schools under the same management?
No, this is not a franchise. This is the first Sowing Seed School of its kind
Tell me more about the Facility:
The Sowing Seed School is a brand new state of the art building across the street from the NY waterway ferry that includes an indoor and outdoor playground and nine classrooms equipped with refrigerators, accessible bathrooms and sinks, as well as diaper changing rooms.
There is also accessibility to a neighborhood park that Sowing Seed children will be able to use for outdoor gross motor activities.
Antibacterial paint called “ paint shield” is used on all of the walls and air purifiers are installed to promote good health.
Our environment is safe, clean, stimulating, and inviting to make children feel at home and develop a love of learning.

Ages of Children Served: 6 weeks to 5 years old

Building is 10,000 square feet of spacious classrooms that provide the ample space for discovery
Breast Feeding area available for nursing moms. Refrigerators available in main kitchen as well as every classroom for the storage of breast milk/formula as well as snacks and meals.
Daily Delicious, a catering company that specializes in lunch service for children will be providing meals for our school. Meals are nutritionally balanced, delicious and kid friendly. They feature many organic, vegetarian and gluten free options. Parents may send in meals for their children but please keep in mind that we will not use microwaves for warming
Sowing Seed School staff is certified in Early Childhood development and required to attend ongoing professional development training to remain abreast of educational trends, early childhood theory and best practices
Background checks are required for all staff employed by Sowing Seed School. ( CARI- Child Abuse Record Investigation and CHRI- Criminal History Record Investigation –fingerprints)
Director: Marilyn Duran – Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision, as well as certifications in Early Childhood, Elementary Education K-8, Teaching English As A Second Language, and Bilingual/Bicultural Education. She is married for 28 years to her life and business partner and together have three children, one of which just graduated from the University of Delaware and two attending the University of Minnesota.
After- School Programs for school age children up to the age of 13 will be available in the near future.
